The Payment Card Industry (PCI) has placed new requirements for your pay-at-the pump dispensers if you take debit cards and Verifone is leading the way in making you and your customer?s safe no matter who the dispenser manufacturer is. As of January 1, 2009, all new dispensers will require PCI Compliance. Existing dispensers have until July 1, 2010 to be in compliance. What does that mean to you? You have a chose: No longer take debit cards at the pump and possibly loose 25% of your business, purchase all new dispensers, or upgrade your dispensers with new encrypted PIN Pads.
