Breakaway valves help prevent hazardous fuel spills and costly damage that can occur when a vehicle drives away with the nozzle still in the fill-pipe. Installed on the hose between the nozzle and dispenser, the breakaway valve separates when it is pulled apart and shuts off the fuel flow. Breakaway valves are available in re-connectable, re-buildable and disposable models.
